Our Services:

Kitchen Remodeling

A kitchen renovation can range from a small, minor update to a comprehensive, high-end overhaul. Minor renovations typically involve preserving the existing kitchen layout while updating the appearance and functionality through measures like refacing cabinets, installing entry-level cabinetry, updating appliances to more energy-efficient models, adding new countertops and flooring, and giving the walls a fresh coat of paint.

In contrast, major renovations entail a more extensive overhaul, with the replacement of key fixtures like lighting, appliances, and flooring, as well as the addition of higher-end touches such as a custom kitchen island, a luxurious sink and faucet, and semi-custom cabinetry.

At the top end, upscale or "high-class" kitchen renovations can include custom-built cabinetry with specialized storage solutions, premium stone countertops, advanced appliances, an undermount sink with a designer faucet and water filtration system, and the installation of high-quality flooring and lighting. These upgrades go beyond just functionality and appearance, elevating the kitchen to a new level of sophistication and luxury.

Kitchen Cabinet Installation

Our team of professionals completes thousands of cabinet installations each year, including kitchen replacements and full cabinet repairs. We can help you create more storage space by accommodating all your valuable kitchenware with new cabinet solutions.

We also assist with finishing touches like hardware, moldings, and decorative panels to breathe new life into your kitchen.

Whether your dream kitchen requires custom, traditional, or contemporary cabinetry, you can trust Easy Handy Guys to deliver satisfactory results. New cabinets can account for 30-40% of kitchen remodeling costs, so if you're happy with the placement and functionality of your existing cabinets but the finish is dull, painting them can be a cost-effective alternative to replacement - though it is a time-consuming project, your wallet will thank you.

If you aren't ready for new cabinets, then think about painting the existing ones.

Tile Installation

A well-installed tile floor can create a beautiful, durable, and easy-to-clean surface for your home. When updating your kitchen, consider a slate floor - it's a timeless option that works in both traditional and modern spaces.

While ceramic and porcelain tiles share similarities, there are important differences to consider. These differences make certain tile types better suited for different applications. Porcelain is generally recommended for bathrooms, kitchens, and outdoor areas due to its superior water resistance and durability. Glazed ceramic is a more budget-friendly option for kitchen backsplashes. Unglazed ceramic tiles can work well for walls in moisture-free areas.

The choice between porcelain and ceramic ultimately comes down to factors like cost, water exposure, and the specific needs of each room or project. Understanding these differences can help ensure you select the right tile for your home improvement goals.

Backsplash & Wall Tile Installation

The wall space between your countertop and cabinets offers a creative canvas to showcase your personal style. While tile is a popular choice, you have many other options to consider, from glass and metal to stone, mosaic, and embossed ceramic. You could even use non-tile materials like beadboard paneling or metal ceiling tiles. Whichever you select, choose something that reflects your unique taste while.

Sink & Faucet Installation

The faucet and sink should be high-quality and comfortable to use. If the sink faces a window, ensure the faucet clears the windowsill. When selecting a sink, opt for a single, large basin no deeper than 10 inches to avoid bending over while washing dishes.

Countertop Installation

Types of countertops that we install

  • Quartz countertops
  • Granite countertops
  • Solid surface countertops
  • Laminate countertops
  • Laminate sheet countertops
  • Butcher-block countertops

Each type of countertop material has its own benefits and considerations. Take a look at material details below.

Quartz countertops offer a low-maintenance, durable option perfect for any busy kitchen. Crafted from the earth's strongest natural mineral combined with resin, quartz is nonporous, stain-resistant, and easy to clean. With no need to seal, condition, or polish, quartz countertops provide worry-free maintenance. The surface also resists heat, scratches, and fading, ensuring consistent colors and patterns over time.

While quartz is a highly practical choice, there are a few potential drawbacks to consider. Excessive heat can potentially damage the material, and prolonged UV exposure may cause fading or discoloration. Visible seams are also possible. However, with proper care using mild soap and water or a nonabrasive, oil-free cleaner, quartz countertops remain a beautiful and hassle-free option for the modern kitchen.

Granite is a popular choice for kitchen countertops due to its natural resistance to heat, scratches, stains, and bacteria. When properly sealed, granite provides an ideal surface for food preparation, as it is both durable and easy to maintain. To keep granite countertops looking their best, simply clean them with mild soap and water, avoiding harsh, ammonia-based cleaners.

Benefits:

  • Unique, one-of-a-kind appearance in every slab
  • Excellent heat and scratch resistance
  • Stain and bacteria resistance (when sealed)
  • UV resistance

Considerations:

  • May have visible seams between slabs
  • Requires periodic sealing and maintenance
  • Can be susceptible to cracking or chipping
  • Difficult to repair if damaged

Solid surface countertops are a smart choice when you want an affordable and practical option. Made from nonporous acrylic, they are easy to clean and resist stains and bacteria.

The key benefits include:

  • Nonporous surface that is easy to clean and disinfect
  • Easily repaired if scratched
  • Can be used for backsplashes and sinks
  • Available in a variety of colors and patterns

However, some considerations are that solid surfaces are less heat-resistant than other materials and may be susceptible to scratches. Proper maintenance is important - use soap and water for everyday cleanup, and an ammonia-based cleaner for stains. Avoid using harsh chemicals like window cleaner.

Laminate countertops offer a stylish and budget-friendly way to enhance any kitchen. With a wide selection of styles, patterns, and finishes, laminate provides an attractive and versatile surface that simplifies everyday tasks. Laminate countertops require minimal upkeep. Regular cleaning with mild soap and water is typically all that's needed to keep them looking their best.

Laminate countertops provide an easy, low-maintenance option for busy kitchens. As the most affordable countertop material, they offer numerous appealing features:

Benefits:

  • Durable construction
  • Simple cleaning with mild soap and water
  • Suitability for DIY installation
  • Water-resistance
  • Hundreds of color and style choices

Considerations:

  • Susceptibility to scratches
  • Potential for visible seams
  • Vulnerability to heat damage

Laminate sheets are an excellent choice when you want to refresh your countertops without a full replacement. These thin, flexible materials can be easily installed over your existing countertop, providing an instant upgrade. With a wide variety of styles and finishes mimicking natural stone, granite, wood, and more, laminate sheets allow you to achieve your desired aesthetic. When cleaning laminate, use a mild soap and a damp, nonabrasive cloth, as excessive water can be detrimental.

Laminate sheets offer several benefits. The material can be easily shaped and formed using heat to create a seamless appearance. However, there are a few factors to consider before choosing laminate sheets. While a cost-effective option, they may not be as durable as other countertop materials and can be susceptible to scratches or cracks, particularly around the edges.

Butcher-block countertops bring a warm, inviting aesthetic to any kitchen. They are also well-suited for dining areas or as focal points, such as kitchen islands or desks. To clean butcher-block, simply use dish soap, hot water, and a sponge to gently scrub along the wood grain. Rinse thoroughly with hot water and then dry completely with a clean dish towel.

Butcher-block countertops offer numerous benefits. They are an environmentally-friendly option that can naturally reduce noise. Plus, any scratches or nicks are easy to sand out. Butcher-block is ideal for non-food prep and dining areas. Over time, it may develop a beautiful, deep patina that adds visual interest.

However, butcher-block does require more maintenance. It must be treated regularly with food-safe mineral oil to protect against water damage. Additionally, butcher-block has low resistance to heat and extreme dryness, which could lead to cracking if not properly cared for.
