In terms of the types of doors we install, we offer a wide range of options:
Barn doors: These can add a unique flair to any space. They come in a variety of styles, from rustic to polished, and can slide on a top rail or have a bottom rail to prevent swinging.
French doors: Featuring multiple glass panels along the entire length, these doors provide minimal privacy while allowing ample natural light to flow between rooms. They are typically installed side-by-side, with each door opening away from the other.
Accordion doors: These fold into sections along a rail with wheels when opened, making them a great choice for interior partitions, closets, and utility rooms.
Bifold doors: A low-maintenance option for closet doors, where the hinged design prevents the door from hitting the wall when opened.
Front, back, and side doors: These provide the main entry and exit points for your home, and we install them to the highest standards.
Storm doors: Protecting your exterior doors from the elements, storm doors also enhance the curb appeal of your entryway while allowing for ventilation.
Security doors: Offering a higher degree of protection, these doors add both security and style to your home, giving you peace of mind.
Mesh doors: Featuring a mesh screen panel, these doors allow for natural air circulation while keeping out bugs and debris, all while letting in natural light.
Patio doors: Open your home to your outdoor oasis. Patio doors are usually made of glass and steel, aluminum, vinyl or wood frames.
Install the Windows of Your Choice
Awning windows are hinged at the top and open outward from the bottom, typically no more than a few inches wide. This limited opening helps enhance a home's energy efficiency by preventing warm or cool air from escaping, depending on the season. Awning windows are well-suited for rainy areas, as they allow fresh air to enter while keeping rain out. The outward-opening design acts as a natural awning, guiding rainwater away from the window sill to keep it dry.
Bay windows typically consist of a large central picture window flanked by two narrower side windows. Unlike bow windows, which have four to five panels, bay windows feature three distinct panels. The side windows are angled relative to the center window, creating an extension that protrudes from the side of the house. This alcove makes an ideal spot to install a bench seat or built-in storage. In addition to their aesthetic appeal, bay windows can increase a home's value, making them a wise window replacement option.
Bow windows are an excellent choice for transforming the look and feel of a room. They create additional space and brightness compared to standard window replacements. While similar to bay windows, bow windows have several distinguishing features. Bow windows typically feature four to five evenly-sized window panels arranged in a gentle curved shape. In contrast, bay windows have a larger central window flanked by two smaller side windows. The curved, multi-panel design of bow windows can enhance the architectural interest and visual appeal of a space.
Casement windows are a versatile window option that open outward from hinges on one side. These windows are excellent for increasing airflow and ventilation in your home. Unlike traditional single-hung or double-hung windows, casement windows can be opened fully to maximize the amount of fresh air entering the home. This can help reduce energy costs by allowing natural breezes to circulate and cool the indoor space.
Double-hung windows are a popular choice for window replacement projects. These windows feature two vertically sliding panels that can both be opened to allow for natural ventilation. A key advantage of double-hung windows is that the panels tilt inward slightly, making them easier to clean from the inside of the home. This design eliminates the need for major modifications to existing window frames, allowing for a relatively straightforward installation process.
Picture windows are an excellent choice if you want to let in more natural light or showcase a beautiful view. These large, fixed windows are designed not to open, often consisting of a single pane or a main panel divided into smaller panes. Picture windows can enhance a home's energy efficiency in winter by allowing sunlight to warm the room, reducing reliance on the furnace. Many homeowners install picture windows alongside patio doors, creating the feel of an indoor-outdoor living space by opening up the view to the patio. Shaped windows offer a visual departure from standard square or rectangular designs, showcasing a variety of unique forms that can boost a home's curb appeal and potentially increase property value.
Single-hung windows, featuring a stationary upper pane and a sliding lower pane, are the predominant window style in both older and newly built homes. In fact, if your house was constructed within the past two decades, it likely already has single-hung windows installed. These versatile windows can be configured to open either vertically, allowing access to the
bottom portion, or horizontally from the side.
Sliding windows are similar to single-hung and double-hung windows, but the key difference is that they open horizontally rather than vertically. Sliding windows open easily by releasing a lever or latch that allows the window to slide open. This simple, affordable window type is common in modern homes.
How to Know It’s Time for Window Replacement?
As windows age, they can deteriorate, compromising your home's energy efficiency. Telltale signs that your windows need replacing include drafty rooms, damaged frames, and increased outside noise. Cracked windows also pose a safety risk and should be addressed promptly. If you detect any cracking, it's best to get the window glass replaced right away.
How do you know when it's time to replace the door?
There are several signs that it may be time to replace a door, such as if the door sticks or has poor energy efficiency leading to cold drafts and weak thermal protection. Other indicators include excessive external noise, an outdated or unappealing style, or physical damage to the door.
